Gary L. Godbersen

Considered one of today's most involved and influential leaders in the equipment manufacturing industry, Gary Godbersen has been at the forefront of international transportation issues since the early 1970's. As co-founder, president & CEO of GOMACO Corporation since 1965, he and his company have been largely responsible for the development of concrete paving and support equipment used in the construction of many of the world's roadways, canals and airports in the last quarter century.

An acknowledged proponent of international construction and exports, Gary Godbersen's leadership in, and commitment to, the construction equipment industry has been exemplary. His current chairmanship of ConExpo '93 culminates over 20 years as a director, including past president, with the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA). He also presently serves as a director with such major associations as the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) for 18 years, the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) for 15 years, and the International Road Federation (IRF) for 10 years, including vice chair and chair posts. Gary Godbersen also served on the Board of Consultants for the ENO Foundation for Transportation, and is a past director for the National Construction Industry Council.

Godbersen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Construction Engineering from Iowa State University in 1962. His published works include such topical issues as slipform concrete technology and concrete solutions to highway safety.
