Mr. William G. Mulligan 1930 -
Born in 1930, William earned a bachelors degree in mining engineering from Lafayette and an MBA from Harvard. After he joined the Ingersoll-Rand Company as student trainee in 1952, he rose to executive vice president due to leadership and style. His ideas helped lead the company to the development of portable air compressor technology and the extendible boom air crawler drill. But he has become known equally as the driving force behind serious and successful industry initiatives that have helped increase investment in the nation's highway and bridge system. His efforts toward this goal have been extended beyond his company, with active involvement and participation in organizations such as the International Road Federation, CIMA, ARTBA and TRIP. To this day, he has remained committed to advancing the construction industry and continues to make positive contributions at all levels, from contractor to manufacturer to government.
