Construction Equipment Hall of Fame™

Fame is Due

The Construction Equipment Hall of Fame™ program is a not-for-profit, industry-wide initiative, initially developed by Construction Equipment magazine, to honor and recognize the many contributions and achievements over the years by outstanding individuals in the construction equipment industry.

Governed by a board of directors who are principals of seven major industry groups, the Hall of Fame becomes the first collaborative effort of its kind in the industry. The board members act as impartial judges for nominations which are submitted from individuals and organizations throughout the industry.

The Hall of Fame's primary mission is to instill a sense of pride, history and professionalism within the industry, which has experienced dramatic change over the last two decades. The direction of the Hall of Fame is guided by three bywords: pioneering, productivity and education.

Pioneering will recognize those individuals who invented, risked, managed, built and led the industry. Productivity will point to the major contribution that equipment has made. Education will address the need for greater industry education programs and increased support of established foundations.

Finally, this new institution will also create wider public understanding of the issues this country faces in terms of construction and funding needs. Through greater recognition of its inductees and their achievements, the Hall of Fame will strive to instill a deeper public appreciation for the role that construction equipment has played -- and must continue to play -- in the success of our future and the continued growth of our unparalleled standard of living.
