required to bury the cables that carry their signals. In open areas,
cable plows are a practical method of handling this job. As the
machine moves forward, one end opens a trench in the ground and
a drum feeds cable into the opening. Some machines can then refill
the trench; others need the support of a machine like a backhoe-loader
to push dirt back into the trench. |
